Butterfly Fart

Published April 18, 2012 by Phoenix

Do butterflies fart?

Sometimes, life is as random as thought.

Finding a way to giggle and celebrate the randomness keeps us young.

Butterflies and Tulips

Find a way to giggle...

Life isn’t random although our thoughts or events may seem to be.

When we’re surprised by something seemingly random, thought or event – we either respond or react.

  • Reacting is based on past experiences.
  • Responding is about being in the moment.

When you’re in the moment, you come alive.

Are you listening for the butterfly to fart? The unexpected? Ready to giggle? Or are you reacting to life?

Celebrate the randomness that happens in your life ;)

When You’re Done

When you choose to stay in an unhappy place, you’re getting something from the pain of being there.

When you no loner get something from it, you move on.

Are you taking the easy way?

We all will stay in unhealthy and unhappy situations because it ‘feeds’ us somehow. Our stories are built upon our excuses, decisions and all the reasons we stay in any given unhappy situation. Same goes for happy situations.

When we grow to the point that we no longer ‘get’ anything from the bad stuff, it’s like waking up from a dream, a fog, like seeing the world crisp through new glasses for the first time. We’re like the caterpillar staying caterpillars until we finally build our cocoon, which isn’t natural, nor what nature does.

The cocoon is the changing time. The time of awakening. When we begin to admit to ourselves that our unhappy situation just doesn’t fit any more, we start realizing there MIGHT be other options. We start asking questions of ourselves and our environment. When we feel safe or brave or loved enough, we will then open our cocoon and step out new and more brilliant than ever.

Some people see the phoenix as a bird that is reborn again and again. The true story of the phoenix isn’t about rebirth, it’s about celebrating life. The bird must die and be reborn for no ‘thing’ is eternal except love. This cycle by mythological standards usually happens every 500 years for the bird. We as humans don’t tend to last that long ;) so our cycles can be much shorter. We have the wonderful opportunity to grow, grow, GROW into a more stunning butterfly/phoenix….again and again and again.

When our situations are happy, we can make them happier. Same process occurs.

Have faith in your ability to change, become more aware and to grow. Your wings will take you far.

Tell me, please…have you been in an unhealthy (or happy) situation and what was it like when you woke up and began to change it? Your end results? Thank you for sharing your story here and sharing this post with others so they can share their stories too. :)

When a butterfly opens it’s wings and we stand in awe.
