Toward Your Dreams

Published March 23, 2012 by Phoenix

A little everyday toward your dream with actions,

even if they might not give fast results,

is more powerful than dreams and just talk.

Healthy Woman

Mind. Body. Heart.

When we decide to lose weight, to get out of our emotional ruts, to broaden our mind, it takes time.

There is rarely a ‘quick answer’ an ‘immediate’ result.

By keeping our end vision in mind, being open to things turning out more spectacular than we expect:

  • by taking that walk
  • eating the healthy foods
  • making one single choice one at a time,

………our dreams do come true.

I’ve been on track for getting into shape & feeling beautiful again since August 2011. I’m not expecting immediate results, however, when I turn 40 in November, I’m gonna be one HOT Babe!

  • Because I worked at it.
  • Kept my vision before me.
  • Forgave myself when I didn’t meet my goals and
  • just kept moving forward.

Quoted on FB: “It isn’t change that will kill you. It’s the stagnation”. Are you willing to try? Even if it’s scary?

Tell us where you’ve succeeded. Share the one ‘thing’ that’s been hard to maneuver that in the end, made a huge difference in your life. You are my inspiration :)

Take Care of You

Take Care of You.

Give yourself a hand or foot rub.

It will change your week.

You deserve it.

Or give one. :)

Foot Rub

Ah...

For 5.5 years, I was a massage therapist. Even so, like most everyone, my schedule rarely permitted time for me to take care of myself. Since closing down my practice I’ve simplified my life and learned some valuable lessons about taking care of myself.

  1.  When you schedule time for exercise making it as important as your money making hours, you’ll exercise.
  2. Find something that motivates you. For me – I decided to treat myself with the same love I would a partner i.e. love interest. I’m worth it.
  3. Without exercise, you’re not going to be as healthy & that is detrimental to your love life – I’m not talking about just the sexual part of a healthy relationship. Mentally, emotionally exercise makes you feel better and it makes for a great stress reliever too.
  4. Eating healthier really isn’t hard – if it’s what you desire. Make a choice & then keep making it.
  5. Getting regular loving touch, from your partner, a professional massage therapist, or a friend who loves you enough to rub your back, your feet, your shoulders – etc, is imperative to our health as humans.

Here’s a fabulous quote I grabbed rather quickly… “Touch is important for everyone’s physiological health and is an expression of affection, appreciation, and valuing between two people. Touch builds interpersonal bonds and actually improves brain chemistry.” ~ The Connected Child by Karyn B. Purvis, Ph.D., David R. Cross, Ph.D., and Wendy Lyons Sunshine

Take care of you. Because you’re worth it.

*wanders off looking for calendar…scheduling time to give Honey 45min foot rub…daughter a full body massage…call Gunter for massage exchange*
